Pretty tough.
Fiercely Brave.

With the help and support of our community, Fiercely Brave has been assisting organizations to benefit early detection services and mastectomy recovery for breast cancer survivors and previvors in Iowa.

Our Founder’s Story

In the Spring of 2021, Jess Klembara found out she carried the BRCA2 gene. She learned her odds of having to battle aggressive breast and/or ovarian cancer were extremely high and just a couple of months later at the age of 27, she underwent her first double mastectomy.

Since then, as a previvor, Jess has dedicated herself to sharing her journey out loud to spread awareness for early detection and puts her whole self into advocating for and raising up those who have and will share her same journey through diagnosis, surgery, and aftercare.
